Museo archeologico dell'antica Capua
Facts and practical information
The Archaeological Museum of Ancient Capua is located in the heart of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The establishment of the museum stems from the need to present, according to the most modern exhibition criteria, the materials unearthed during the excavations carried out in the second half of the 20th century in the territory of the ancient city of Capua.
Since December 2014, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities has managed it through the Museum Pole of Campania, which became the Regional Directorate of Museums in December 2019.
