The Bolzano City Museum based in Bolzano is a museum of provincial significance. It is the oldest museum in present-day South Tyrol and is directed by the Cultural Department of the municipal administration. It has been partially closed since 2003 for a lengthy renovation that also includes an expansion; only the mezzanine floor periodically hosts exhibitions.
