Facts and practical information

Alta via No. 6, also known as Alta via dei Silenzi, is a high alpine route along the Dolomite mountains through the Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions of Italy. The route begins at the source of the Piave River in the municipality of Sappada, in the province of Udine, and ends in the municipality of Vittorio Veneto, in the province of Treviso. The route is marked by blue triangles inside of which is the number 6; in some sections the old trail marker, identical to the current one but red in color, can still be found.
