The Cadore Historical Library is located in the former town hall of Vigo di Cadore, Veneto. It has always been divided into three sub-sections: the Cadore historical archive and the Cadore library constitute the "Cadore" section while the universal library constitutes the "Universal" section. The Cadore historical archive holds the oldest documents, about five hundred and fifty Cadore parchments, prints, and manuscript collections; the Cadore library holds texts of a local character; and the universal library holds books dealing with a wide variety of subjects, a total of about eight thousand volumes.
