Porto di Palmi

The port of Palmi, also called the port of Taureana di Palmi, is located at Tonnara, at the northern end of the roadstead of the same name. The facility is classified in Category I as a harbor of refuge and in Category II, Class IV, for commercial roadstead functions. The occupied area includes a maritime state-owned area of about 86,750 m² of land while the water surface is about 40,000 m².

The port is the main tourist port on the Tyrrhenian coast of southern Calabria. Still partly to be completed, the facility is designed for recreational boating and fishing, offering, when completed, services such as small shipbuilding, provisioning and catering.
