The Abbey of Santa Maria di Corazzo is a ruined abbey in Castagna, a hamlet of Carlopoli, in the province of Catanzaro, founded by the Benedictines in the 11th century near the Corace River in Calabria, later rebuilt by the Cistercians in the 12th century, first damaged by the March 27, 1638 earthquake and then again by the 1783 earthquake when it was gradually abandoned and stripped of the artistic works it contained: its ruins are visible.
