Facts and practical information
The castle of Las Plassas or Marmilla is a ruined castle in the municipality of Las Plassas, not far from the town, dating from the Judicial age. It has important historical significance as it was one of the strongholds controlling the border of the Kingdom of Arborea. The conical, breast-shaped hill on which it rests gave the name Marmilla first to the Arborean administrative district, then to the surrounding territory and finally to the geographical subregion.
