The Friuli Ethnographic Museum is a museum in Udine. Reopened in October 2010, after more than 20 years, in its new exhibition space in Udine's Palazzo Giacomelli, the Ethnographic Museum of Friuli collects, preserves, enhances and re-presents to the visitor with critical interpretation the materials of the extensive collection with the intent of popularizing the folk tradition of Friuli.
Primary aims of the Museum are the recovery and dynamic enhancement of the identity memory of the Friulian people and land, not only through objects but also through audiovisual media and documentary evidence capable of attesting in the complexity of their relationships and relations, symbolic, ritual and linguistic dimensions all aspects of traditional life in its various manifestations.
