The loggia of the Council, also known as the loggia of Fra Giocondo after the humanist friar Giovanni Giocondo, who was long believed to be the designer of the building, is a significant episode of Veronese architecture in the second half of the 15th century. The loggia, which is located in Piazza dei Signori in the heart of Verona, was a representative building commissioned by the mayors of the municipality for the sessions of the patriarchal Council, and currently houses the offices of the Province of Verona.
