The church of San Pietro in Vinculis in Salerno is located in Portanova Square and was originally the seat of the Confraternity of the same name, which was founded in the second half of the 16th century to carry out care for prisoners. The present building has undergone numerous alterations and renovations. Since 1958 it has been the headquarters of the Daughters of the Church nuns.
