Facts and practical information

The necropolis of Cafaggio is the cemetery area, dating from the 4th century B.C. of a large settlement of Liguri Apuani whose exact extent and location is unknown. Located at the foot of the Costa Celle hill in the municipality of Ameglia, in the province of La Spezia, not far from the site where the Roman colony of Luni was founded in 177 B.C. the necropolis has been explored in various excavation campaigns since 1976.
