The geopaleontological museum in Lerici Castle, opened in 1998 and closed in 2015, collected and exhibited not only a collection of minerals, but also a vast repertoire of fossil finds from the soils of Spezzino, Lunigiana, and neighboring areas.
The museum was housed in the halls of the castle in Lerici, Via Giuseppe Mazzini, in the province of La Spezia.
