Sapienza, Pisa
Facts and practical information
The Palace of Wisdom in Pisa, founded in the Renaissance period and profoundly renovated in the 20th century, is the main seat of the University of Pisa's Faculty of Law and the University Library of Pisa.
Placed not far from the Lungarno Pacinotti, it occupies the entire block delineated by Via Curtatone and Montanara, the alleys of Sapienza and Ulivo, and finally Via Tanucci, which in turn ends in Piazza Dante. The Palace, in addition to being a true symbol of the University of Pisa, forms a whole with the city: the building and its porticoes are incessantly traversed by students, professors, tourists, and citizens, a sign of the undoubted success that this building, from an urban planning point of view, enjoys among users.
