The Giuseppe Garibaldi refuge is the oldest alpine refuge in Italy, located at 2,231 m above sea level in the Abruzzo Apennines, in the Gran Sasso d'Italia massif, at Campo Pericoli, in the municipality of Pietracamela, built in 1886 and named after the memory of Giuseppe Garibaldi.
