New Synagogue in Wuppertal - a synagogue located in Wuppertal in Germany.
The concepts of the construction of a new synagogue were born in the 1990s. In 1996, a special organization called Freundeksreis Neue Synagoge E.V. was established for this purpose. On November 10, 1998, the first shovel was solemnly stuck. Local Evangelical Churches offered to the construction.
In October 2000, the foundation stone was laid in the presence of President Wuppertal Johannes Rau. The building was designed by architect Shahpar Mirzadeh, and the amendments to the project were made by Hans Christoph Goedeking. The synagogue was solemnly opened on December 8, 2002 in the presence of the President of Israel Mosze Kacawa. The construction cost about 4.5 million euros.
