The church, the only shrine in Italy dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, is the seat of the parish of Santo Stefano protomartire and is archpriest of the vicariate of Bobbio-Alta Val Trebbia-Aveto-Oltrepenice of the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio.
