Villa Pacini, Catania

Facts and practical information
The Pacini Garden is one of the two oldest gardens in the city and one of Catania's four main parks.
Under the arches of the Marina, over whose viaduct the railroad track passes, near the harbor, and just outside the ancient city gate, Porta Uzeda, is the Pacini garden, nicknamed "Villa 'ê varagghi" by the Catanese because it was a destination mainly for elderly people who went there to relax and yawn. The increasingly hectic pace of life has made the garden, which is not very large, less and less frequented; however, it is always accessible during the day and has an area equipped with games for children.
