The Roman villa of Cottanello is one of several villae rusticae dating back to the Roman era located in the Sabine territory. It is located in Collesecco, an agricultural area about a kilometer from the historic center of Cottanello, in the province of Rieti. It was built in the last decades of the first century AD on a pre-existing structure from the Republican age.
