The Civic Archaeological Museum Iulium Carnicum in Zuglio, Udine Province, opened in 1995; it is located in the center of the municipality, near the archaeological area of the Forum, and collects findings from excavations of Italy's northernmost Roman city, which began as early as the 19th century, and artifacts from the entire Carnia region dating from Prehistory to the early Middle Ages.
The exhibition area of the Zuglio Museum is spread over the 3 floors of the 17th-century Tommasi Leschiutta Palace with 7 exhibition rooms. The museum is open with the following hours: Thursday and Friday 9-12 noon, Saturday and Sunday 9-13/15-18. Any changes to the opening hours are posted on the City's website:
