Mount Arvènis is a mountain in the Carnic Alps, 1,968 m above sea level in the province of Udine: despite its not particularly high height, it is one of the best-known mountains in Carnia, so much so that during World War I within the 8th Alpine Regiment the Mount Arvènis battalion was created and decorated with the bronze medal for military valor.
