Facts and practical information
The church of Santo Stefano del Monte is a church in Candia Canavese. It stands, isolated, on the top of a hill overlooking the town's built-up area, in a panoramic position from which it overlooks the Canavese morainic basin, with Lake Candia and overlooked by the Alpine circle. Built in the 11th or 12th century, it constitutes-after the cathedral of Ivrea and the abbey of Fruttuaria-one of the main examples of Romanesque architecture in the Canavese area.
