The church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria is a religious building located in Abbasanta, a town in central Sardinia. Consecrated to Catholic worship, it is the seat of the parish of the same name and is part of the archdiocese of Oristano.
The church was built in the 16th century, in Gothic-Catalan style, over the ruins of a nuraghe; between the years 1870 and 1886, under the care of Rector Paolo Ponti, it was completely renovated and connoted with Renaissance forms. The building, has a Latin cross plan; it presents a single-nave hall, on which three chapels open on each side, ending with an apse bordered by transept.
