The church is part of the novenary of Trempu, according to archival documents, also called Nostra Signora delle Grazie or of Monserrato. The church, surrounded by numerous muristenes - temporary lodgings for pilgrims - is the site of prayer and community life during the novena of the same name held every year in September.
