The church of San Michele is a religious building located in Banari, a town in northwestern Sardinia. It is consecrated to Catholic worship and is part of the parish of San Lorenzo, archdiocese of Sassari.
Built in the 12th century in Romanesque forms, it has undergone several remodeling. During excavations carried out at the end of the 19th century some relics were brought to light and in particular a parchment bearing an inscription in Latin translated as, "Year of the Lord December 23, 1320 this altar was consecrated in honor of the almighty God and the blessed Michael the Archangel by the hand of the venerable Father Guantine by the grace of God bishop of Sorres."
