Sant'Agata, Radicofani
Facts and practical information
The church of Sant'Agata is a Catholic church located in Radicofani.
The church is an 18th-century building erected on the wall face of a medieval civic building of which the pointed arches buffered in the gabled facade remain. An architraved portal with a tympanum introduces a single-nave room. On the right wall is a unique 16th-century crucifix. The church's masterpiece is the large robbiana with the Madonna and Child and Saints Francis, Elizabeth of Hungary, Christina of Bolsena and Lawrence, which adorns the high altar, traceable to the hand of Andrea della Robbia. On the left wall is the polychrome wooden group with the Madonna, Saints Saturninus and Agatha and the town of Radicofani, from the Sienese school.
