San Rocco, Sutri
Facts and practical information
The church of San Rocco is a church in Sutri, in the small square of San Rocco in the town's old village.
It is located next to what was once the hospital of Sutri and is now home to the town museum. This church was home to the confraternity of San Martino, and since the 17th century to the confraternity of San Rocco, which then gave the building its name.
The simple facade with pitched roof has an entrance portal with peperino lintel, in which the date 1608 is carved. The painting placed at the altar depicts St. Roch and St. Martin, the patrons of the two confraternities that were later dissolved.
