Facts and practical information

The church of San Silvestro is an ancient church in Sutri.

It retains much of its original Romanesque structure. A bell donated by Countess Matilda of Canossa on the occasion of the December 1046 council held in Sutri is still present and functioning in the bell tower. The interior is divided into three naves; of interest is a fresco dedicated to St. Sylvester Pope and St. Anne and another depicting the Deposition of Jesus in the Sepulcher.
