The Bitonto Municipal Theater is the main theater in the city of Bitonto and is named after the Bitonto musician Tommaso Traetta. It is located on the edge of the historic city center: it faces largo teatro Umberto and has its back to piazza Marconi where part of the rear wall coincides with the city walls. Opened in 1838, it was reopened in 2005 after a fifty-year closure.
